The first answer doesn't know his stuff, or he's just lazy. You should have an amp for those headphones. These are 300ohm headphones, and a laptop or mp3 player simply cannot power these things.

They're outstanding headphones, and they really should have a good amp to make them sound their best.

In a pinch, you can use a battery powered amp like this one... http://www.headphone.com/headphone-amps/amplifiers... ... that is, if you need it to be portable.

What you really should use though, is a wall-powered amp. Something that actually plugs in to an outlet, and not just the computer. That way you get enough juice to really let these headphones shine.

Preferably, I would take a look at this, http://www.amazon.com/Output-Desktop-Headphone-Amp...

That amp will comfortably power these headphones through a wall jack. You can then connect it to your computer via USB, or RCA (From 3.5mm headphone). You can also add a DAC into that (The top dock) to make it sound even better.

    Hope I helped

Sennheiser HD 202 II expert Headphones (Black) are great for those that pick great sound on an analogous time as sitting for long classes of time. movie buffs, game enthusiasts, or song followers isn't upset. i does not propose those headphones for energetic people, as they're great (for sure because they're over-ear headphones) and the very long cord+cord spool may be inconvenient for walking or walking around.
