America is a Christian nation. Why should our money go to heal the sick and feed the poor?
When I get into political fights with atheists on here, I remind them of the fact that America is a Christian nation and that Christ did not approve of the lazy poor people in Palestine.
Many atheists believe that we should have Single Payer as a form of health care. I completely disagree. If you want health care, you can work for it like everyone else. Those who don't work hard enough or who have preexisting conditions don't deserve to be covered because it's wrong to steal money from others to pay for their failures.
If you can't afford insurance, then you have the right to enjoy paradise with God if you are a Christian.
@Anil: I'm 53 years old you idiot. I was done with high school before you were even born.

Hush your mouth, stupid mortal. You know not of which you speak. As a resident of this world it is our shared duty to look after it. Whether you like it or not, sick people need healing and poor people need jobs.

The poor founding fathers. They spent so long drafting the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution, carefully making sure to be as secular as possible. They defeated the colonial powers and established a great democracy, free from the religious control and persecution of old Europe. A new enlightened country where freedom of religion and freedom from religion were both equally valid and the envy of the world.
Then some people come along and declare "You know what? Screw the founding fathers and their stupid Declarations and Constitutions. We're Christian and always have been".
And the world wept.

do not fall for the drained previous concept that until eventually authorities does some thing, it doesn't get finished. Do you extremely imagine that authorities courses are the really thanks to look after the poor, or to look after persons's well being care? authorities poverty courses spend a minimum of 70 cents of each dollar on overhead. If a private charity became like that, it may be close down. with the aid of the authorities! with the aid of ways, this is not any longer real that 16% of people are too poor to have sufficient money well being insurance. a minimum of 8 million of our "uninsured individuals" aren't to any extent further individuals in any respect -- they are unlawful immigrants. Out of a few thing else, maximum of them can have sufficient money well being insurance -- yet choose no longer to have it. The "16%" figure is the most deceptive "statistic" obtainable. .

Funny... I'm certain the bible says that Jesus healed the sick (no matter what their financial status).
Matthew 19:24
"Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
Luke 14:13
"But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind"
Deuteronomy 15:11
"For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land."
You claim you are a Christian. READ THE DAMN BIBLE THEN, IDIOT!!

Solly, Chumley, but of the 7 major industrialized nations in the world, ALL of them have universal (single payer) health care except the US and ALL of them have higher standards of living than the US.
Single payer actually makes health care cheaper for everyone, even the rich. You are dumber than a box of rocks.
Blessings on your Journey!

So, basically Xtians deserve nothing. They are lazy (they ask sky daddy to do everything for them) & they have a preexisting condition (mental problems).

Jesus didn't really approve of anyone but other Jews so I guess the vast majority of Christians are out of luck anyway.

Go to Somalia. They have no government nor anything related to the government, be it health care, etc. You'll love it there, Mr. Troll.
