Do you like squash? If yes, what is your favorite kind?

I like yellow squash and I grow a bunch in the Summer, chop and freeze all the extra, and use it in most of my stews and soups (it thickens the broth and adds flavor). I also dehydrate some for use later. When it's fresh I either cook it in a little oil and seasoning on the stove or brush it with butter and seasoning and broil it in the oven.

I LOVE acorn squash steamed, scooped out, and added to mashed potatoes and either eaten as is or used in twice baked potatoes - yummy!

Just yellow squash cooked over the stove is good with salt, pepper, and butter.

I love summer squash. Cooked but not too much. With still a little crunch to it. Light butter salt and light pepper. Yummm!

Marinated in fat free Italian dressing, sprinkled with garlic salt, and grilled.

People say they are out there. I've never seen one in so many colors. I would think that it would be tough for them to blend in. I would believe you if you said they were delicious in fat free italian dressing.
