how can i fix a laptop?

ok so i have a sony vaio laptop and whenever i try to start it up it will stay on this one screen that says VAIO

please help if anyone had experience with this before

i also know the battery isnt broken

remove the harddisk. Then try booting up without the hard-disk. If it does work then you know what the problem is
