Is it safe to dye your hair PRE chemotheraphy ?

Hi. I plan to get my hair cut short tomorrow, so when I commence Chemotheraphy mid next week it won't be too much of a shock losing my hair.

What I would like to know is if it is safe dying your hair 6 DAYS PRIOR TO COMMENCING CHEMO ?

Whilst on Chemo and for some time after I will refrain from doing.

    I went for broke before my chemo as I had a 99.99% chance of total hair loss.

    I had my long hair cut short befoer I started chemo than a few days later dyed it bright copper (normally dark mousey blond).

    I figured it was all going to fall out anyway so what did it matter if I did damage?

    10 days after starting chemo I was bald.

    I don't see why not. I know a few people who did that. Best of luck with your chemo.
