People don't like being told how to format their answers, do your own homework. Small wonder your generation is letting us old folks down.

    * Employ a solid antivirus product for resident protection against viruses (cloud based if possible)

    * Use a stable Firewall to prevent/block or check on unauthorised/unusual connections

    * Install an anti-malware product with pro-active protection such as Malwarebytes

    * Prevent access to malicious sites with use of an intelligent web filter program

    * Ensure unauthorised access is prevented to your PC by password protecting your user account

    -hope this helps!!

I might even take the challenge.

    - Common sense. Do not download it if it seems suspicious.

    - A good antivirus program. Consider even paying for it.

    - Scan every, and that's EVERY, file you download. Trust no-one.

    - Get an internet security program. These are often bundled with the best of the antivirus programs. And as an additional note, actually listen to your internet security program.

    - If you catch a person spreading malicious software, immediately report him/her to the administrator/whoever it is who is in charge of the place you/he/she work(s) in.
