Quick question about equality?

Do you think that feminists want equality, or do they want to be above men? Every time I see an argument from someone who calls themselves a feminist, they act like men should bow down before women. Why should what's in my pants determine my place in the world?

I believe actions speak louder than words, and the history of feminist influence on policy has been to lobby strongly for legislation that gender discriminates, and does not treat men and women equally.

Wow, that Nancy Kay cat needs to chill and have her Whiskers or something.

A lot of feminists want to be above men, I'd say it's a strong theme in second and third wave feminism particularly. Originally feminists genuinely wanted equality, but... well, as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions...

"Feminist" is just a label. Some self-professed feminists are actually for equality, and other feminists just want to improve life for women, even if it's at the expense of men. Because the term is so muddled and can be misinterpreted, personally I prefer avoiding it completely. I don't say I'm a feminist--I just say I'm for gender equality.

As a feminist I believe there should be a level playing field. "Equality " will never happen because of biological differences but I really think there can be less prejudice but it's likely not going to happen in my lifetime. I certainly do not want to lord it over men but I don't think men should be able to lord it over me either. There needs to be mutual respect and I see that respect being eroded all the time with misinformation, media and porn representation of women and good old-fashioned prejudice unfortunately.

Feminism is not about equality, it is about female supremacy, which will never happen. They are ******* with the group that made the vast majority of what makes humanity great, then expects the conclusion to go well...Good luck with that, feminists.

If you want "equality" go put on a dress and heels... There is no such thing as "equality".
