Chinchilla health concern?

I just bought a chinchilla today and the people at the animal place said he has to be in room temperature but he likes sleeping cuddled up in my arm is this a bad thing ? Like I don't want him to get overly hot

Thats fine. Hell wake up and try to leave if it gets too hot for him. It's only dangerous if you're keeping him with you and not letting him leave. Don't worry, it's actually cute
