HP printer head failure?
I have a HP Office Jet 7000 wide format printer. It appears that the printer heads have failed, is it possible to get new printer heads, or do I need to look for a new printer?

looks like you may have to chat with hp to get it, or order directly from office depot catalog, office max catalog, staples catalog, etc.
the I know office depot carries that kind of thing.
look at your manual [ugh - hp wasn't smart enough to put it in!] or pull out the heads. see what model number the heads are. then search for that in ink and toner button on the hp web site. of course, you will probably need to get new ink probably too when replacing a head. don't want air bubbles in there because of re-insertion drying out the ink or messing up the flow.
did you try a head clean, possibly several times? if you have streaks you can also do a line feed calibrate and align the printer.
it's 1am right now, so chat is not open to me to get the part number[s] - on my printer there are 2 heads. and hp doesn't openly offer heads on their web site anymore, awful policy - just ink (but I am sure you can manually order ink off the web site if you know the 900 series or whatever part number).
one solution from the manual is to turn the printer off and on.
read page 109 of the manual to order supplies (the pdf file).

Sending your printer for a repair will cost you as much as purchasing a new one, considering the component replacement, tech persons charge, shipment, retail shop charges, there are just too many to mention. Wrapping it all up will only give you a figure that might give you the idea of buying a new printer instead that comes with a new set of cartridges.

Hello,
You can get a new print head for your printer, the parts number is CD868-30001 The print head is available from Amazon or other online stores and Office depot can ship you one too. The print head handles all four colors so there is just one to replace. The source link below goes to the item on Amazon.com instructions are included with the new print head.
