I'm from new England (Rhode island) and when people say your your a little off beat ... it sometimes means that your not all there. Kind of like saying your crazy/dont understand things like other do.

Its not a compliment when someone days that.

But it could just mean that you dont understand something.

All depends on who says it. If a friend that is close to you says it then it just means you don't get something.

If someone your not familiar with says it then its kind of like calling you slow. Saying your an idiot. Definitely not a compliment.

It really depends of the situation that was going on while that sentence was said. It's kind of hard to tellyou exactly what was meant by that

No longer an expression often used in Britain. "Blowing a fuse" way getting very indignant, so probably 'come off' in that context means 'get things flawed'. The whole phrase very likely asks what areas of work and many others make him upset.

It can also have a slightly metaphorical use, to describe a situation that is not right: e.g., “the price they quoted sounds a little off”.

In a related vein you have “to feel a little off” meaning to feel not quite right, applying both to people and things: “I feel a little off after eating the whole tub of icecream”, “the atmosphere of the meeting felt a little off to me”.

In this case the sound is a not quite right. A LITTLE OFF.

    "You're not quite on point"

    "You seem off"

    "You aren't quite there"

"You seem like there's something bothering you"

It could be any of those
