What can be used to dehydrate natural nails to prep for acrylics?
I would like to know what household item can be used to dehydrate natural nails to prep before applying acrylic nails to prevent lifting. I've heard white vinegar, but i don't know. Does anyone knows about something similar that actually works?

Who told you that you need to do this? You don't and shouldn't do it as it will make your nails brittle and you are more likely to lose one of the artificial nails easily. Don't do anything other than pushing your cuticles back and make sure there is no skin/cuticle adhering on the nail-this is what causes most lifting. What happens is that the nail tech wants to get you done quickly so she can make a lot of money-time is money. So, they often don't make sure that all cuticle residue is off the natural nail before applying the acryllic, therefore, you have lifting shortly after getting them applied. You can use a cuticle remover, or lotion, trim them with a small cuticle nipper or scissors and then be sure to wash your hands thoroughly to remove and oil left on the nail.
