Best cichlid tank ideas?

What are the different types and can you mix these fish?

    to list off every cichlid would have me writing pages upon pages of species, the most popular/common ones you will find for the at home aquarium are african cichlids and south american cichlids. both of these are super easy to maintain :) i have a african Mbuna tank setup here at home, Very colorful and you can have an abundance of different mbuna species!!

    Get a large aquarium. Yes you can mix most types of cichlids. They are fabulous fish.
