Are hairy arms bad on a girl?

Okay, heres the backstory. So, I take care of myself, and I know shaving the legs and armpits are most important, but I didn't know about the arms, so I'd shave them too. I know this is wrong now, but let me finish! But, I really wasn't selfconscience about the arms, so I'd shave them like once every few months, just basically when I felt like it, and when I started noticing them.

Then recently, my tutor comments on it. I was doing math and she just nonchalantly comments "you shave your arms?" and i say, "...yea..." and she goes, "oh, its nothing, I just didn't know that. I don't shave mine." and it was kinda awkward, then I guess a month later, my friend goes "you shave your arms?" and i say "...yea..." and she says "you know you aren't supposed to, right? the hair grows darker when you shave it." and i just say "oh" and left it at that. anyways, after that, I got to thinking about it, so I decided I wasn't going to shave them anymore.

Its been like 3-4 months now, and now I'm starting to wonder if my arms look weird to people or not. To me, I haven't noticed at all whether or not my arm hair has grown darker or not, but I have dark hair already, so I've always found my hairs dark anyways. And its not as dark as my leg hair. And, if I look in my bathroom mirror, it doesnt look like I have arm hair, but if I just look at my arms, then i notice it. So, honestly, to me it doesnt look too dark than normal arm hair, but of course I can't tell how people look at me from their point of view.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the matter, or anything. Also, is this unattractive to guys? Because I've recently gotten a guy friend, and I want him to be okay with me, but I don't want to bring it up with him because it'd be awkward. I mean it's just awkward asking the internet this question... Anyways, thanks for future help.

Hey there! Shaving your arm hair is completely your decision. Personally, I don't shave mine because my hair is blonde and I don't like shaving, ha ha! However, I do have friends that have dark arm hair, and they shave it. It's all up to you whether or not you want to shave it. If you don't want to, no one is going to worry about it, trust me. You are your own worst critic.

    Hope this helps!

I have heard you particularly don't seem to be purported to take hair off your hands, however this looks adore it's the exception. Go to the drug retailer and get Veet (ask someone if you are not able to find it. @ walgreens it is most likely on a bottom shelf and a bit tough to find). Hairs do not develop again worse whilst you use these things, and it will get particularly close so you do not need to do anything with it as generally. Additionally it can be painless (unlike shaving or waxing). You simply go in the bathe, put it on, after which do away with the cream in 3 minutes with the device they give you. I believe that's the answer for you. Let me understand how it works. P.S. If you're still sad after you might have tried that for a very long time, then you definitely might opt for to head get laser hair elimination. Luxurious, however it's going to work.

Really, if U want to shave your arms go ahead. It's UR body! It's true that the hair grows darker and thicker, so if I was u just continue to shave them every now and then. If anyone else comments about ur arms just say "yea I know!"!!! It's ur life, do what u feel whats right.

I've grown to accept my arm hair. I had several men brush up against me and said my arms were prickly. They then proceeded to ask if I shave my arms. The men that I've come in contact with don't like it. Perhaps you should try waxing to avoid that stubbly feeling.

i think they asked u that cuz they truly wanted to know if ur hair is naturally like that or if u shave it... they may feel insecure about their own arm hair

I shave my arms every time I shower!

yeah, it's grown in darker. but it doesnt matter because i shave them and i think it's totally worth it! it's quick, simple, painless. nothing like shaving your legs. i only shave my forearm (below the elbow.)

    you can always wax it!
