Should i wait a bit before driving my car after starting the engine?

You can drive a car right when you start it. Warming up a car is only useful for older cars that have carbureted engines. Newer cars have fuel injected engines which do not require any warming up.

Just wait a few seconds, until the oil pressure builds up. Then, just drive, but take it a little easy for the first five minutes or so.

The engine operates best when it's at normal operating temperature. The fastest way to get to normal operating temperature is by driving it.

Letting the car sit at idle while warming up the engine wastes gas, and does nothing to warm up the transmission, differential, shock absorbers, brake fluid, power steering fluid...

So just drive off.
