Watched all 3 lord of the rings extended edition back to back yesterday! I'm ready! Only 2 and a half hours until i can see it in iMax :D

I think JRR Tolkien was a genius and I loved all of his books. I thought the trilogy as brought to film was great. I hope to see the Hobbit adaptation some day but it won't be right now. One critic already panned it saying that it was not nearly as good as the trilogy. He could not see any reason to spread the Hobbit out into another trilogy by adding extra material from the Simarillion and other Tolkien material. I'm still curious.

We went as a family to the midnight showing - evidently it's a 'tradition'... I would have rather slept. Movie was good - enjoyed it. Excellent adaptation. Just not from 1230-0400 am...

Hubby and I are going as soon as I finish with a business meeting at around noon. So looking forward to this but be forewarned that it isn't true to the book (I'm told).
