KRHH: For your album of the year list, do YOU include mixtapes?

Let's be honest, in 2012 the lines between "album" and "mixtape" are very thin. So yeah...

Well, I didn't add mixtapes to the question you asked before.

For a top albums list, I would just stick to albums. If you want to do both, just call it your top "LP's" list instead.

But the mixtapes of 2012 have been great as well.

yes, a mixtape can be better than an album and so if it happens to be better then it should show in the list since they are both a new collection of tracks by a single artist or group

I only include fully fledged albums not mixtapes but I agree with you and Trylemma, there have been amazing mixtapes this year

yes because mixtapes too are good so many singles were in mixtapes ex. kool aid and frozen pizza got mac miller in the spotlight,that song was in a mixtape

yes most mixtapes are just free albums these days so i dont see any difference

well, it isn't an album, so not really. If you asked Project of the year or something like that then I suppose I would.

Yup. They are the same to me, even though an album is a better produced, thought out music a mix tape is still music as well
