Should I remove quarantined items from SuperAntiSpyware?

FIrst of all, why does SuperAntiSpyware (i'll refer to it as SAS) remove some malware and put others in quarantine? SAS shows 7 items in quarantine and doesn't identify them. There is an option to "Remove All"? Should I remove them or leave them alone? Is seems odd that SAS would require me to take an extra step to remove them rather than just remove them along with the other items it removes. Thanks for any responses.

Hi newbie, I would not think that SAS would remove anything without asking you. It will then put them in quarantine, where they are harmless. All detections are encrypted and renamed, rendering them useless.Sometimes, these programs make mistakes, so they have a restore option. If after a while you may want to empty the quarantined area.

Please note, and this is important, SAS is not very good, it usually finds nothing more than cookies.

There are vastly superior programs like malwarebytes antmalware.

The answer to your main question, is no, whatever has been quarantined is now utterly harmless, and can stay locked away

Anything that any antivirus/antimalware/antispyware software put into " quarantine " CAN NOT harm your computer in any form or fashion, NADA. Leave em alone for goodness sake, geez

" Quarantine is a function of antivirus software that isolates infected files on a computer's hard disk. Files put in quarantine are no longer capable of infecting their hosting system. "
