Where is the REAL problem?

Preconditioning for violence. Graphic violent movies, realistic murder computer games to practice combined with a weak minded or unstable person…and you have a scenario for what happened in Connecticut. WHEN will we learn to treat the causes and not the symptoms? Parents are detached and not involved with their kids so people like this are allowed to foster within their family.

Responsibility..begins at home not looking around at things or others to blame. We have become a BLAME society…

"Any pile of stunted growth unaware that entertainment is just that and nothing more, deserves to doom themselves to some dank cell, somewhere, for having been so stupid!! Movies, books, T.V., music - They're all just entertainment, not guidebooks for damning yourself!" --- NNY (Johnny The Homicidal Maniac)

There are violent films/vid games all over the world, so that's not the problem.

As far as home is concerned, you think the rest of the world don't have dysfunctional families.

i think its that for some reason America has been indoctrinated by the constant political, commercial and domestically the self congratulation that they live the the biggest, best, wealthy free democracy in the world. And that leaves them to do exactly what ever they dam well want.

America you live in a sick environment and its all your own bigoted fought.

Sort yourself out America, its later than you think.

There's been at least 30 years worth of studies trying to link violence in media (TV, movies, comics, rock music, Dungeons & Dragons, and yes, video games) to violent behavior and not one of them succeeded in showing any sort of a link.

If someone honestly was influenced by something like this, he was already suffering from severe mental illness and shouldn't have been outside in society, let alone allowed to acquire guns.

So please don't confuse the issue by trying to assign blame anywhere other than where it belongs - the shooter himself.

We had the same problem with gangster films in the 1930s. The solution was to ban movies that glorified crime and violence, or had excessive adult content

    Yes. And...

We live in a godless society where we're taught that we are all animals aka products of evolution.

We are all accountable for this tragedy. Not just the gunman. Not just the lack of gun control.

Mentally ill individuals will take their cue from anywhere.

    Witness muslims and the koran

    Christians and the bible

I strongly disagree. It doesnt take those things to commit mass murder.
