How to attach multiple files at once with new yahoo mail?

This new yahoo e-mail sucks in many ways, but the one most annoying to me is the fact that I can't attach more than 1 file at a time? The NEW version will not allow this. The old version did.

This happens in Firefox. Internet Explorer allows me multiple attachments at once.

I am not pleased with this!

There are many problems with their *cough* new design (here is what I've found):

Problems with new yehell web mail (notes taken over the past few days of suffering):

    - Cannot scroll from first message to last seamlessly... this was a HUGE timesaver!!!

Now I have to waste time scrolling through the limited 200 messages on a screen

at one time, then flip to the next page, etc.... GACK!!!!

    - Can no longer see a current exact count of emails (total, read and unread)... which

was a HUGE timesaver!!! I paid attention to those numbers to know about what new

mail would have come in, etc... Why do I have to HOVER over the misleading

'999+' number in order to actually see the number of emails???

    - yehell failed to publicly vet these *cough* improvements... causing a HUGE waste

    of my time!!!

    - Now one has to hover over some special magical spots to see things like trashcans,

using 'x' to close an email, or to reload mail. So, are they really there, or not? I don't

know, I have to move around, hover over and waste more time!!! Why can't yehell

simply 'display' the relevant icon and not force me to play hide-n-seek????

Don't you people realize how HARD computer stuff is already, much less working

over the phone with someone in your family who isn't computer saavy, having to

explain: ".. Well, look over there on the left, but not ALL the way to the left... you

'should' see a set of menu items, and you'll have to move your mouse all around and

over them, to see some of the buttons...."

    - Where are my column headings, the ones I depended on to resize when "I" need

to, much less a simple, one-button-click method to sort a column; where as now

I have to waste more time to figure out where they hid that function, select that

column heading thing, then click again to sort it the way I think I want it now.

    - Signout is now buried in a sub-menu, non-intuitively, instead of being on the main

mailbox page... hiding it is a HUGE timewaster!!!

    - The 'STARS' are now in the middle of the screen, with no ability to move the column.

The far right edge made much more sense.

    - I select A message I wish to see grouped by subject (I tend to have email sorted

by date received). So I wish to temporarily re-sort the list of mail and focus on that

subset of messages, sorted by heading, then sorted by date (like yahell email

USED to do). I now waste time using the TWO-step process to sort my email by

subject. Then I have to page down, or up, or "Page" forwards, or backwards to 'find'

the group of messages I'm interested in (WHY is this forced to be so HARD??),

because unlike the previous yehell web email that presented the highlighted email

right on the current portion of the window... NOW it is on one of the pages of my

email, and I GET to search around to find it.

    - Adding attachments is HARDER now, since I can only add one at a time. Simple

usage before, I could select 7 files off of the file list and *POOF* they all were then

attached to the email, requiring THREE steps PER attachment. WHY????

    - The folders on the left to hold email now FAIL to show up as bold when received

email auto-sorts into them. Now I have to WASTE more time manually walking

through each folder to find IF there is new mail... another HUGE waste of my time!!!!

Visually, the layout is a bit crisper, admittedly. In 'looking' at it, as so many of us do, yes, things 'look' better. However, the numerous glaring functionality problems I list above seriously diminish any value of the 'new layout'.

Yahoo has gone from the best email program to the worst with this new update. Multiple file attach problem with firefox is a nightmare Yo, yahoo tech guys.... HELP

This is such a backward move on behalf of Yahoo.

However, I've sussed a way of doing it.

Firstly, create a new file on your computer and copy your documents or pictures etc into it. Then right click on the file and choose send to compressed zipped folder.

Then attach the zipped file to your e-mail.

The recipient will receive one file, which when opened at their end, reveals all the documents, pictures etc

    Good luck!

Hey Joe Wuff, I'm with you. If the powers that be @ Yahoo read these; Please make it easier to find things as in Joe's comments. I have both a private and business email yahoo address. You know how long it took me to figure out how to switch between them? TOO LONG!! The multiple file attachment is a serious, serious issue. We will probably have to dump our business email to one that is a LOT more user friendly. -Marty in New York

Sorry.... I am afraid we are both in the same soup! I initially thought it was my system misbehaving, alas have tried it on several and still the same thing. Sending mail with attachments is now time consuming :(

This lack of multiple attachments in the new interface is unacceptable and I will be exploring other email servers, likely gmail. Thanks yahoo.

Thank you for your question. Atleast it is not me. I thought it was.

One can now "insert" pics via drag and drop, but I need to ATTACH them, Yahoo!!!!
