The same thing happened in Colorado with the Dark Knight shooter. Everyone focused on the gun side of it. Then details started coming out that he should have been flagged well in advance of the shooting because of his very real and very significant mental health issues.

thats cuz there on the defensive when something happens they are scared that the demos will make mor gun legislation. which is kinda true, but to be fair (from a left leaning independent's perspective,) making certain types of guns illegal or any gun legislation wouldnt help stop shootings much. making sure that mentally unstable ppl dont get guns is the key. so ya
