I'm watching their game on TV today. There are signs that the 2013 Detroit Lions football team may just end up sucking less than the Lions' teams we're used to. Agree?

Back in the olden days, American retailers and manufactuers were NOT greedy and they were able to live comfortably while selling American made goods at reasonable prices. That's all changed today...

Now, the national chain retailers have driven all the Mom & Pop retailers out of business and SUDDENLY, the retailers decided that they could only make "enough" profit, if all the goods they sell are manufactured in Asia by 10 year old girls making 25 cents per hour.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Were the Mom & Pop business owners just plain BETTER at running a business? Are the major national retailers just too lazy and sloppy to make profits selling American made goods?

Before you answer, please keep in mind that manufacturing wages back in the 1950's (when America was STRONG economically) were 2 to 3 times as high as the real wages earned by factory workers in America today. If you want to make the argument that "high wages" drove the manufacturers overseas, then please explain why manufacturers today pay wages at 1/2 to 1/3 of the price that manufacturers paid in the '50's. Basically, they've been getting labor cost reductions every year for the last 30+ years, yet they are STILL unable to make a profit.

Should Americans start refusing to buy from national chain retailers, since they have been trying to drive a stake into the heart of America's economy for so many years?

Since gun restrictions don't reduce gun crimes (according to the NRA), would America be better off trying the opposite tactic? Should America have virtually unrestricted gun ownership like Detroit does? Would unrestricted gun ownership in America turn America into a crime free utopia like it has in Detroit?

All the NRA apologists keep telling us that mass murderers will continue to murder even if guns are unavailable. If that's true, why are all the mass murders in America committed with guns? Don't those murderers know that you can kill just as many people just as easily using rocks?

The NRA/Republicans have told us for years that unrestricted gun ownership will end crime because criminals will never know "who's packing". Detroit has unrestricted gun ownership. You can carry guns in bars, movie theaters, schools, and churches in Detroit. Has crime ended in Detroit yet?

Like the one used in Connecticut? I thought they were illegal?

It used to be that these happened once in five years, or once in ten years, or once in twenty years. Now it seems to happen once a month. I can't even keep count anymore...

My question for the NRA / Tea Baggers is: "How long until Detroit is a crime-free utopia?"

Afterall, you are the ones that say putting guns in the hands of law abiding citizens will reduce or eliminate crime. How long till Detroit is crime free?

Yet, NONE of them are expressing remorse over the death of all the five and six year olds?

America is the ONLY country where gun ownership is a "protected Constitutional Right" and America is just about the ONLY place we have massive murders at the hands of gun toting maniacs. America is also the only place where the NRA has been working to increase the availability of guns, whether the buyer is sane or not. Of course, there is the OCCASIONAL mass gun murder in non-Second Amendment nations, but almost ALL of them are right here in America. Why?

They've been weakening America's gun control laws for years and now it seems like we have a mass shooting every week now. Are the NRA/Tea Baggers happy about this?

If the school children had been allowed to carry guns, like they can in Michigan now, would that have prevented today's tragedy in Connecticut.

For DECADES, Republicns have been telling us that they WANT to cut the budget. They absolutely REFUSE to allow any revenue increases. They say the ONLY way to balance the budget is to CUT spending, yet they haven't proposed one single cut! WHERE do you want to cut the budget Boehner? WHERE? HOW MUCH? And WHY do you keep expecting Obama to propose the cuts for you? Can't you man up and do it yourself??

Republicans keep calling Obama the "food stamp President", but the truth is that the federal government spending on food stamps went up 200% during Bush's Presidency. What gives?
