Please help me with English?

I realized Wancy was a good guy and he was always helping others. We used to work together a lot ON OCCASIONS such as visiting our church brothers and sisters, visiting people at hospitals or jails, decorating church for holidays such as Christmas , mother’s day, father’s day. Wancy was one of our church leaders and he liked to WRITE poems, he would TELL them at church’s activities like mother’s day, etc. On a mother’s day, he WROTE a beautiful poem and he told me that I got to hear it before everybody else. I felt so special because he liked me already and trustED me as well.
