what do you think of the media in recent shootings?
as we all know these recent shooting are becoming more often for whatever reason. How do you feel about the media covering all the details and speaking before they even know the real details? i have noticed they usually present wrong information/people which they later change many times. also do you believe that the media is giving these killer/murderers too much attention which makes others act up to get their 15 minutes of fame. I am all for being informed which the media help us with but are they taking things too far?

The media sensationalizes it and milks a tragedy for all it's worth. Their job is to sell your eyeballs to their advertisers, not educate you.

I think the media's coverage can be sloppy in many events not only shootings. But, how else could we be informed? Those reporters who are found to be inaccurate should be dwelt with by their superiors. I know that it is impossible to report every detail, but if the facts are not known than they should not be reported by the media. I do think that too much attention is given to the killer and conjecture as to why he committed the act.
