How to get ash off my dog?
Um, I think it's called ash, anyways. I'm not too sure.
Anyways, I was walking my dog and there was a patch of burnt grass (actually, there was no grass, just burnt stuff) and my dog decided to roll in the black stuff (whatever it's called, soot, ash, whatever) and now I can't get it off him.
When I got home, after taking a few photos (he looks cool when he's half black) I tried rubbing it off, and then I tried bathing him, but I can't get it off.
Does anyone know anything that can help?
Also, he got some on his face, pretty close to his eyes, so I have to be careful.
Please help!

Use Dawn. It worked on my cat. It is veterinarian recommended safe way to remove it. As for it being around his eyes, wet a cloth and put a drop of Dawn, and very carefully rub the ash away. Wipe repeatedly with a clean cloth, changing spots on the cloth with each swipe or tilt his head back and rinse with an pitcher of water and dry his ears completely right after.

The only thing I can suggest [and what comes to mind] is to bathe him using a whitening shampoo. I would have to bathe my aunts Maltese with the stuff as she would get staining on her feet/tear stains/ rolling in mud.
