Do sleeping pills really work?
Here's the story... two years ago I had a very bad ear infection, caused my ear to puncture, and I felt off balance for months. having no insurance I thought it would heal itself, but it took almost a year; during this period I developed anxiety over the feeling of "vertigo" everywhere I went, and now that my ear is fine, some anxiety still remained, but got my balance back and all this would cause me to have sleepless nights. I been going on with 3-4 hours max every day for the past few months, and I've tried taking a lot home remedial to help me sleep, but nothing is helping. I remember sleeping a full 8-9 hours for years, and now it's really hard for me to sleep, I feel restless almost all the time and super fatigued.
Should I consider paying a doctor so then can prescribe sleeping pills? cons and positive on sleeping pills? thank you so much

i worked for a vitamin company for years, and sleeping pills can cause you to be more fatigue or cause depression depending on the person, i would try vitamins before any controlled substances. like
i would try to eating a king size meal (even oatmeal in between meals helps) at least 2 times a day and working out for at least 2 hours a day...gradually
it will help with your anxiety and tired you some.
you need to reset your sleeping pattern. try to keep yourself up late on your day off and keep busy, dont read or do anything relaxing. believe me, it sounds strange but if you train your body to be tired you can do it!!

Sleeping pills can be used only if prescribed by the doctor, since he shall check ur age, health conditions and requirement of the power of the sleeping pills... I too got from the doctor's advice rather than across the counter at the medical shop.. He asked me not to continue after 10-20 days.. Since i might get addicted to it.. So Jus go to ur doctor.... All will be fine
