What are the ways that feminism is funded?

It wouldn't exist without money. And yes, I have heard the story of Rockefeller funding "women's lib", but it's not that simple.

If it had to be funded by its members contributing 20% of their earnings, feminism would disappear pretty quick

What about it isn't that simple?

The Rockefellers have numerous foundations in the name of doing "public good." It wasn't hard to play feminism as a "public good" so their foundations gave money to distributing early literature. They also have a strong influence in universities and basically control some of the largest universities through endowments. So it wasn't hard for them to promote feminist literature and push forward new gender studies curriculums and theories which, might have sounded intelligent and believable, but were ultimately based on no scientific evidence at all. They also have a strong hand in politics, and were able to get female CIA members to start some of their projects for them, like Ms. Magazine. When you consider all the evidence of the people who've come forward and consider that known CIA agents were behind some of these things, it's difficult NOT to believe the Rockefellers and other powerful families were behind it.

And of course, nowadays, various feminist organizations such as NOW receive public funds because politicians are afraid of being accused of "hating women" if they stand up against this. Universities are expected to promote feminist literature and devote some of their funding towards feminist programs. In many states, public funds are given to shelters for battered women, which are designed to completely discriminate against men, despite the fact that men make up an equal number of victims in domestic abuse cases. And don't listen to the feminists here who try to tell you that that's only if you consider minor cases of domestic violence like a slap. Those feminists clearly haven't read the studies they're talking about, because those studies mention men who've been sent to the ER because their wives put glass in their food, and so on. Of course, whenever it's a man slapping a woman, feminists are quick to jump all over it and talk about how she needs to get out of that abusive situation. So it's not like there's any reason for them to play this down with the talk of it being a little slap from woman to man in the first place.

Organizations such as the NOW are, in fact , supported by their members, grants and earnings from publications just like most organizations.
