Cooking meat until it's well done?
I like to watch food network shows. I have noticed that a lot of the cooks on there eat their meat rare or medium rare, but when looking on the websites, they don't give the option of how long the meat should cook for well done meat. That is the only way I eat my meat, so does anyone know how long meat like a prime rib, lamb or pork roast should cook to get it well done. Thanks.

It goes by weight per lb.
Most of the meats they cook rare or medium rare are the best cuts of meat and only require those lengths of time, and if they say something like 3 minutes perside you could try 4-5.
For those others you have to increase the cooking time and it would be wise to get a meat probe and learn the touch test method

It's not so much time, as it varies with the size of the cut and the temperature you're cooking at, but the temperature of the meat. For well done meat, you need it to reach an internal temperature of 170F. Have you ever tried at least medium well??? You really are missing out on juicy, tender meat if you're cooking it well done.
