Are airports busy on New Years Eve?

I'm having my new dog fly to Rhode Island on New Years Eve and I'm so worried something bad is going to happen because the airports will be so busy and crowded. Is it less busy the day before or New Years Day? What should I expect?

Update:

I have no choice but to have it fly because I don't live where I bought my dog... Just give me the information I asked for..

Update 2:

The flight arrives at 10 PM if that makes any difference.

Airports are busy all the time, but will be even more busy the days coming up to New Years Day.

Your dog will be fine, regardless of how busy it is.

most people are probably flying on december 30th or january 1st.

most people are probably where they want to be ON new years eve so they can ring in the new year.

airports are busy all the time.

if youa re worried about your dog then don't have it fly at all.
