I'm in a calorie deficit, and I'm not losing weight? please help!?
I recently lost 28lbs by eating smaller portions and eating healthier. I am female age 20 5' 3" and weigh 131. I want to lose about 6 more pounds, it's been about 1 month and a half and I haven't lost anymore weight. I weigh 131 pounds and I want to be at 125. my BMR is 1422, if i multiply it by my activity level which is 1.2 since I'm sedentary it goes up to 1707. I subtract 500 calories a day to have a weekly deficit of 3500 calories a week which would equal 1lb weight loss per week. I have been eating 1207 calories or less 6 days a week for a month now and I haven't lost anymore weight. This past week I gave up and decided that 131 is a good weight so throughout this week I have been eating around maintenance I ate between 1200 and 1400 a day, and then yesterday I decided to give it another shot and see if I can lose 6 more pounds. But I don't understand what was happening before, I was in a calorie deficit so I should have been losing weight right? I think i might have actually gained 1lb, how can I continue to lose weight? Will I be able to lose 6 more pounds by eating 1207 a day? I ate 1660 calories today :( I'm losing hope, I really want to lose that last extra 6 pounds.

Ahhhhh so many numbers!
Wow 28 pounds congrats girl!
Ok now serious- there are 2 likely possibilities
- you have reached your plateau
this is when your body has adapted to your caloric intake and exercise routine and is comfortable where it is. All you have to do is change up your exercise routine and maintain your diet. I'd recommend dancing because it is rapid cardio that engages nearly the entire body for short high calorie burning exercises- Zumba for example is great
Or it is possible that you are not eating enough calories per day for your height weight and exercise level- and your body has gone in to starvation mode and is "clutching on to those last calories for dear life"
If your hungry all the time this could be the case. I use an app called My fitness pal.
all you do is plug in your height weight and desired weight and It gives you the daily calories you should intake to achieve your goal. You just input the food you eat and the exercise you do. You also get to scan the barcodes of the food you eat which is fun

I lost weight while still eating junk or fast food, but only a little of it. I mostly ate healthy, salads, vegetables, lean meat, fruit, whole wheat bread. I found it hard to be totally angelic, though. I'd have a little bag of chips, a donut, a couple of fun size candy bars, chicken nuggets every now and then. Eating a diet with only junk food will make you feel lousy and unenergetic. You want to develop new habits that will keep the weight down. I believe exercise is half of losing weight too. I rode a bike for an hour a day at least 5 times a week. Sustained weight loss of 45 lbs. for over 5 years.

Judging by all the weird numbers you're calculating on yourself I have to say you're just being too picky. You've already done a fantastic job of losing 28 lbs and maybe your body is comfortable where it's at.
If I were you, I would take a chill pill, learn to be happy with myself, and just keep eating healthy and exercising.

fast food is salty food if you cut back on the salt in a few weeks youll be able to better taste the natural salts in food and may not crave the junk as much as you used to
