Where would my package from amazon go if I'm not home to receive it?
Recently our building has switched its mail service from door-to-door service, to community mail boxes, so I was just a little confused as to how regular package pick up would work. I ordered something from amazon a few days ago and have been tracking it everyday. The latest info says that my package was delivered on Friday (yesterday). I had work at 4pm on Friday and I don't recall hearing a knock on the door or receiving a delivery notice before I left, and I checked my community mailbox and I didn't see anything so far. So just out of curiosity, where would my package go if I'm not home? Amazon is a private delivery service right, so they go door to door right?

First of all you should check the address which you wrote to Amazon service. If it is the correct address then ask the manager of the community mailbox about your package. If they still do not know anything about it contact the Amazon service and tell them about your problem. They will surely track the whereabouts of your package.
