So basically, this guy (let's call him J) and I used to work at McDonald's several years back, and after about 2 years of working there we both went our separate ways and got better jobs. Anyway, fast forward to the present and J and I are both currently working at the same place again. J had needed a new job, so recently he had asked me if I could be a referral for him when he applies to my workplace. I agreed to be his referral because he had helped me in the past with work, and he was overall a kind person. I've noticed that recently J has been acting very arrogant and rude towards me when we work together. Sure we joke around and tease each other because that was how our relationship was as friends when we used to work at McDonald's, but now I find that J just says rude things for no reason. He'll say things like, "Oh, you're so useless.", or he'll make a stupid comment on my clothing and say things like, "Oh, that's a cardigan? I thought that was curtain." Just overall his comments are not nice and very stupid. What I don't understand is why? Why is he being so mean all of a sudden? He never used to be like this before, and he certainly was very regretful when I got him a job at my workplace, but now it just seems like he sees me as less than a person and he acts like he's above me despite what I've done to help him. Will some please tell me what's going on with this guy?!!

My mom and I are FINALLY going to do the switch from Windows XP to Windows 7 (we're slow, I know), but I need some suggestions on which external hard drive to get. I find that I have a lot of pictures and music files on my user account that probably take up space, but despite all the data I have, our PC still has quite a lot of free space. However, because there is no in place upgrade for Windows XP, we have to copy all our data onto an external hard drive first, before installing Windows 7. I heard that Seagate and WD are good brands, but I'm still need some help. We're most likely going to use Microsoft's program called, Windows Easy Transfer, and that will basically copy all our data and settings for us and put it into one giant file. I just want to make sure we get an EHD that has a lot of space for all our files, and is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7. Have any suggestions?

A long story short, I withdrew from college last year because I didn't like my program, so now I'm just working and trying to save my money. I want to save up and use my own money for my tuition, but it's going to be very hard. I just got a new job at Old Navy and so far I'm getting garbage shifts. I've been doing a lot of calculations, and it it seems like saving up would take at least 4 years, if done correctly. My tuition is estimated to be $3, 575 per year for Graphic Design at George Brown. The program is three years, so that's about $10, 725 for the three years. If I save $250 a month for 4 years, I'd have about $12, 000 saved up. Trouble is, I'm not working full lime at my job at ON because I just started, so that's a problem right there. I just want to save up and start going back to school. I'm so bored at home, but I don't know what to do. I was thinking of applying for scholarships, but I'm currently not a student, so I feel like I wouldn't be eligible. Are there any other options to help me get money for my tuition? I really don't want to have to go back on OSAP, because it's a pain in the *** to pay them back. Luckily I only have 1 payment left. Should I still apply for scholarships and grants? I've been entering contests lately just for the fun of it. It would be nice if I won $20, 000.

What are some fun and relatively CHEAP things to do for my 21st birthday? I guess I'm sort of like an introvert, so I'm not really big on parties and clubs. They honestly bore me to death. And don't suggest I hit a bar or club, because I rarely drink. I'll take a glass or two, but I am not big on alcohol. I like being out in the great outdoors (when it's warm, that is) and I love animals and nature. Last year I went down to one of my favourite beaches and had a picnic and bonfire with some friends. But this year, I'm not going to be as rich as I was last year, since I just started my new job. I was thinking of maybe going to the zoo with a few friends and then a nice restaurant for dinner, but I'm not too sure. Any suggestions for a cheap and simple, yet fun 21st birthday? Remember, x-nay on the partays, and don't waste your time suggesting alcohol.

We live in a society where songs like, "Work B*tch" and "Beat It" get more attention than songs that actually have meaningful lyrics. It's so frustrating trying to find music that doesn't have degrading, sexually explicit lyrics. And what's going on with the music videos? They are just a line away from being p*rnagraphy. I've never seen such garbage before, it's unbelievable! Young teens are exposed to this stuff and are emulating these terrible behaviours and attitudes! Does anybody know any GOOD artists out there, that DON'T sing about sex, drugs, alcohol and that DON'T degrade women, or have a bunch of misogynistic lyrics in them? The music industry is so corrupt and full of evil and disgusting messages, it makes me so sick!

Nathan Phillips Square usually has their annual countdown for New's Year's, but I can't remember when they start. Does anybody know when they're going to start this year, and when they're going to do the whole, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! *massive explosion of confetti falls*" thing? Nathan Phillips Square is located in downtown Toronto.

For example, say you have a white female cat with a big, fluffy tail, and an orange tabby male cat, with a long tail with a white tip, and they mated. Fast forward to the day your female cat gives birth, and say she had 5 kittens. Two males and three females. Would the female kittens look almost identical to their mother, and the same for the male kittens, or are both gender of kittens likely to look like both parents? Would there be a possibility of a female kitten having a long tail with a a white tip, just like her father? Or a male kitten with a white coat and a fluffy tail? Both kittens resemble one of their parents, so I'm assuming that dominate and recessive genes all play a role in the colouring of each kitten.

What career would best suit me if I draw mainly made up characters, anthro cats, and a bit of fan art from various TV shows and movies? I love to draw and I'm constantly drawing characters and creatures, but I'm so confused with what career would better suit my interests. I went to college for one year and did Digital Animation, but I honestly did not like it one bit. I felt so out of place, and I only enjoyed about 3 courses in the entire program. How would graphic designing be best for me if I design characters and animals? Does the career even involve a lot of drawing, or is it more for promotional and advertising purposes? I guess what I'm trying to say is, would someone that draws mainly characters and animals, fit in as a graphic designer? Wouldn't illustration for books be more my forte? Would I honestly be better suited as a graphic designer? Please be thorough and precise with your answers. I don't want to make this a whole novel, so I'll try to make this as short and concise as possible. Let's start with me, I'm a 20 year old woman and I'm currently working right now while living with my mother and little half-brother. Life is okay I suppose, I am fortunate to have food, a job, a roof over my head, etc etc. My father is not around because he's a deadbeat and my brother's father was unfortunately diagnosed with schizophrenia, so he's not in his life either. So basically, our mother is a single parent raising two (well, one now) kids and she's got her lovely bf and life going on. Well behind all that sugar-coated crap, life isn't the greatest. My brother is no doubt suffering from a lot of psychological problems due to our mother's absence and unwillingness to actually care about and parent her own children, as well as the loss of and absence of his father and having a positive male role model in his life. It's always the same crap, our mother gets a new bf and completely ignores her children's existence. She comes home from work, watches tv, talks on the phone with her bf or friends or whoever, and just doesn't give a f*ck about us. She pushes us away, acts so indifferent, and doesn't even try to spend time with us. She doesn't act affectionate and doesn't seem to want to be a mother. Sometimes I want to ask her why she didn't just get an abortion, it would have made life a lot easier if I didn't exist. It's just become the normal now. She's barely in our lives because she's also suffering from psychological problems of her own. Her parents weren't good parents, so now she's passed down the accursed terrible parenting to her own kids, and guess what, IT SUCKS! She's not affectionate at all, so it's like the cold shoulder every day. I can't talk to her about my problems, because she's never supportive and understanding. She nags, or completely dismisses the topic, just so she can run away and watch tv. I feel like it wasn't for my thirst for knowledge and love for art, I would have ran away and became a porn star, or became a teen mother by now. She doesn't know how to be a good, loving, supportive mother. She basically bought a flat screen tv and a ton of video games and other brainwashing gadgets for my brother as a 'substitute' parent, while she's off not giving a damn. After intensive research and basically WITNESSING it for my own eyes, I am seeing how much of a terrible mother my mother is. My brother is being influenced negatively by the tv (he watches TOO MUCH tv a week), and now he's starting to act out and talk back. He has a terrible attitude (the "I don't give a f*ck" phase) and basically acts rude and bratty for a 13 year old. I've told my mom multiple times that it's only going to get worse for him when he gets older, and that the tv will teach him to act out and do bad things just to get what he wants. And you know what, she doesn't give a f*ck. She refuses to block all the channels that I suggested, like MTV, BET, Much, etc, because she doesn't think they will have a negative influence on my brother. She lets him watch R rated movies just to shut him up, and she basically just DOESN'T CARE that her own damn son is going to fall under the influence of the evil media. Remember, he's only 13 years old! He watches countless hours of television a day and he has no limit. It just pisses me right off! I'm the only damn person in our household that doesn't sit on the couch and watch countless hours of tv a day. I read books, I draw, I do research, but I'm just surrounded by f*cking idiots! I'm fed up with being pushed aside and not having my voice heard, and I'm fed up with my brother not being properly disciplined or raised well. I don't know what to do anymore! If I was financially stable enough, I would have moved out ages ago! I know it's not my problem since I'm his sister and not his mother, but it just bugs me! I care about my brother and I WANT him to succeed in life, but how is he going to succeed when all he does is sit on his *** and watch tv all day? He's not learning anything, he's not using his brain to the best of its ability. No, he's just becoming another brainless, mindless, controlled zombie idiot. So I ask you, please PLEASEEE PLEASE give me advice on how to talk to my mother and tell her that she needs to stop this. Help me to open her eyes and show her that her actions are not good, and that she needs to seriously learn how to be a better parent. She's not a good mother and it's going to affect my brother the most, since he's so young. I want to help him, I don't want him to grow up hating the world and thinking he can do whatever he wants. I don't want him to end up in prison, or worse. What do I do???

I awoke from my sleep around 10am today, because I had to go to the bathroom. When I went back to my bed and slowly started to drift off, I started seeing these bright blue lights flashing intensely and repetitively, and my body started shaking all of a sudden. I saw these weird images that I couldn't quite make out, and my body felt completely paralyzed. This little incident happened for a few moments, and then it stopped after regained control of my body and shifted in my bed. A few moments later it happened again, but this time it was wayy more intense. I honestly thought I was having a seizure, because my body was shaking so much! My heart was racing and again, I had no control over my body and I saw these random images flash in my head. This kind of phenomenon has happened a few times in the past, but they happen at random times and are very rare. This is the first time this has happened to me in a good while. I'm not sure what it is, but it's very scary. I feel like I'm under attack and it's really terrifying when I can't move my body for a few moments. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I'm looking to buy more colour sketch pencils (aka: sketch pencils that's lead is a colour like blue, green, red, etc.), but I can't seem to find any good brands. I keep finding coloured pencils or pencil crayons, but not actual colour sketch pencils.

I can't seem to find any good animes with the main character being really stressed or has had something terrible happen in the past, so they are sent a guardian angel to watch over them and protect them. Preferable the guardian angel is male and the person they look after is female. It can be reversed though, it doesn't matter. I was hoping the anime falls under the genre of adventure, action, suspense, paranormal, etc. stuff like that. Can someone please recommend an anime that's similar if not completely like that?

I ordered something from amazon a few days ago, and it seems to have been delivered at an alarming rate, because on Friday when I went to track my package, it says that it has already been delivered. However, on Friday I had to leave for work at 3:30pm, so I wasn't home for very long. The latest tracking information said that my package was delivered at 5:41pm on Friday, and it is left at "the alliance partner". What exactly does that mean? Am I supposed to go to an outlet to pick it up or what? I'm not sure what to do, how do I get my package?

Recently our building has switched its mail service from door-to-door service, to community mail boxes, so I was just a little confused as to how regular package pick up would work. I ordered something from amazon a few days ago and have been tracking it everyday. The latest info says that my package was delivered on Friday (yesterday). I had work at 4pm on Friday and I don't recall hearing a knock on the door or receiving a delivery notice before I left, and I checked my community mailbox and I didn't see anything so far. So just out of curiosity, where would my package go if I'm not home? Amazon is a private delivery service right, so they go door to door right?

I had ordered a Halloween costume back in October from a store called "SpiritHalloween" and I paid using my credit card via PayPal, but I never received my costume in time for Halloween. I contacted spirithalloween and asked them to issue me a refund because I never received my costume in time, and they said they will do it but it will take a few days to process. It's been several days now, so I decided to check my paypal account to see the status of the refund but for some reason it says "removed". I'm not sure what's going on but I'm concerned, because I paid with my credit card and I have not seen anything in my credit card statement or in my transaction history. Will I be able to get my refunded money back, and will I be able to get it transferred back in my chequing account?
