What does "left at alliance partner" mean?

I ordered something from amazon a few days ago, and it seems to have been delivered at an alarming rate, because on Friday when I went to track my package, it says that it has already been delivered. However, on Friday I had to leave for work at 3:30pm, so I wasn't home for very long. The latest tracking information said that my package was delivered at 5:41pm on Friday, and it is left at "the alliance partner". What exactly does that mean? Am I supposed to go to an outlet to pick it up or what? I'm not sure what to do, how do I get my package?

You will likely need to pick up your package or wait longer for it to be delivered, though that is odd for an Amazon package to be delivered that way unless you are in an extremely rural area.

I would suggest contacting your shipper (in this case, Amazon) and having them track it and research it.  Shippers are given more information than receivers since the UPS bill is paid for by the Shipper.
