How do you tell the difference between food poison and the flu.?
My back hurt and my equalirium was off. Around 4pm , I started to vomit really bad. I'm 59, in good health, and havent vomited. since I was a child I had nothing to eat that day. I vomited 4-5 times an hour for 10 hours. I tried a milk.Up it came. Next two glasses of OJ. Up they came. A 7-UP, still no good. last I tried a fruit punch. Puked again. Finally subsided around 2-3AM... Didn't sleep all night. The next morning I had small coffee cup of milk. It stayed down so I decided to try ice tea. Up it came. I also felt like my hands were getting tingly every time I threw up. I don't know if had a fever or not. I pretty much ruled out food poisoning as I have had it before and this was totally different. I have never had the flu in my life. Your opinions please.

The flu just comes on you. I think you have a stomach virus. The flu gives you fever and bad aches all over.

Food poisoning happens at the equal day, after consuming a meal. You'll be throwing up and having diarrhea. This lasts for an afternoon. The flu does make you throw up and feature diarrhea, however that is typical in kids. Anyway, you're going to get a sore throat, fever, tiredness, runny/stuffy nostril, and muscle aches. This lasts for greater than an afternoon. Perhaps 4 days or so. These 2 ailments are a long way from being equivalent. What 2 ailments are carefully similar is meals poisoning and the belly flu. Same signs, however the purpose of every is distinct. Also, the bloodless and flu are equivalent as good.
