    D. Red blood cells are structured for one purpose: to carry oxygen to the cells of the body (and to remove CO2 from them). The distinct shape of a mature red blood cell allows for maximum area for more molecules of hemoglobin to be able to be within the red blood cell, so that the maximum amount of oxygen molecules can be carried by the red blood cell. Any other organelles in the RBC would mean less hemoglobin could fit into them, so this is why there is no nucleus or other cell organelles in RBCs.

Crimson blood cells do not have a nucleus when you consider that they exit out of the small openings of the marrow. Therefore, they simply live for roughly 30 days and then die. These dead ones are then replaced with the aid of new ones fashioned within the marrows.
