Finding element? Ap chemistry?

If the following represents the last electron, what elements do the the following quantum number represent:

N= 3

I=1

ML= 0

Ms= +1/2

Next:

N= 4

l = 2

Ml= -2

Ms= -1/2

    N = 1 => 2 electrons

    N = 2 => 8 electrons

    N = 3, L = 0 => 2 electrons

    N = 3, L = 1 => 2 electrons (and you have both assuming Ms = -1/2 is there first)

    The element with 14 electrons is silicon

    Check - the last electron is 3p2 which matches silicon.

    N = 1 => 2 electrons

    N = 2 => 8 electrons

    N = 3 => 18 electrons

    N = 4, L = 0 => 2 electrons

    N = 4, L = 1 => 6 electrons

    N = 4, L = 2, Ml = -2, Ms = -1/2 => 1 electron

    The element with 47 electrons in total is gold

    Check - the last electron is 4d1 which would make this Y (Yttrium). I've made the error of assuming the electrons fill in exact quantum number sequence. Y(Yttrium) is correct not gold.

    Enjoy :)
