What you always fail to mention though - is most deaths by guns - come at the hands of gun owners - --- either from the Rural Red State, America Hating Right Wing Pricks killing themselves - or Their Children getting their guns and killing the parents - or classmates.

That's why I don't support Gun Laws - Guns are doing a GREAT job of eliminating Red State Rightie Flag Spitting Morons.

You don't know what you are talking about. Chicago has had in increase in gun murders but not New York. There has actually been a drop in the number of murders there. Its murder rate is where it was in 1963. It even made news a couple of weeks ago when one day there wasn't a single reported murder in the city. The cops didn't know what to do with themselves.

People in Chicago and NY can still buy guns from other parts of the state and country. Good argument for action on the federal level.

Well, you'd be wrong about NYC. Gun crime has been dropping there consistently since 1990. And most guns that end up in these cities are from other states that have more relaxed gun laws.

Yeah well go to Oklahoma and justify shooting there, maybe in those cities it has something to do with population density, you think. Not really population density statistics are used to sell guns by manufacturers as well as crime statistics by crimes committed using guns. You need to learn before you cite crime figures.Your rational as well a judgement by a truck driver is the real cop-out!

As anyone who had any brain at all could have figured out, a person can buy hundreds of assault rifles and other weaponry, and thousands of bullets, from any gun show in most of the country, and DRIVE them to Chicago and NY.

Of course, that's too complex for a brainless person to grasp.

If the US didn't manufacture and sell to ANYONE millions of guns, millions of guns wouldn't be available to anyone who wants them.

The answer is obvious... Criminals are inherently cowards. They are much more likely to attack people indiscriminately if they know they won't be able to fight back. In concealed carry states, they never know if their intended victim might be "packing" so they think twice about committing a crime.

People don't understand the concept of the BLACK MARKET. It isn't just for drugs, people get guns either way. And you know what the last society was to ban guns? Germany 1938.

common misconception. the violent gun crime rates for the those cities is much lower for the POPULATION. A circle around NYC of 20 miles is about 15million people. Any circle in the midwest of 20mile radius will of course have a lower gun crime rate because its much less populated. However, if you draw a circle around 15 million PEOPLE in the midwest you violent gun crime rates will be much higher.

"Population density is a cop out answer" horse sheet. I'm 10x safer in manhattan than in upstate NY woods. That's not to mention about 80% of the gun crimes in NYC are drug related in back alleys. Not something I have to worry about either.
