how many years of experience does it take to become a senior doctor? what does one need to be a successful doctor

    A senior doctor is essentially a consultant, or GP. The training AFTER med school finishes ranges from 5 years (GP) to over 11 for many surgical specialities... Not counting research. Before that level you are still counted as 'junior' even if you are highly experienced.

    I won't confuse the issue by mentioning staff grades...!

    You need to have a little gray at the temples and wrinkles at the lateral corners of the eyes. A beer belly does not count.

    In pediatrics you are a senior doctor when grandmothers no longer give you static.

    All this assumes that with age comes knowledge.

    It takes alot of time an dpractice in schooling. I wish to be a nurse and i'm presently attending vocational excessive school. You must complete excessive tuition and do atleast four years of university.

    You need A-A* in Biology, Chemistry, Physics
