Is Jesus going to be married in Christian theology?

Revelation 19:7

Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

Does anyone know what this prophecy says she is going to be called, her age or anything?

Revelation is a highly symbolic book of the bible and in many instances such illustrations have a different meaning so, by cross references the bible can find the answer for you.

In several instances women are used symbolically to represent congregations or organisations of people. They also are employed to symbolise cities. For example: The harlot of Revelation is explained as false religion that rides on the back of the kings of the earth committing fornication —Re 17:1-5

The apostle Paul speaks of Jehovah God as the Father of spirit-begotten Christians, and he speaks of “the Jerusalem above” as their mother, as though Jehovah were married to her for the purpose of bringing forth spirit-begotten Christians. (Ga 4:6, 7, 26) And for this reason The Christian congregation is spoken of as the bride, or wife, of Jesus Christ.—Eph 5:23, 25; Re 19:7; 21:2, 9. It is also called “the holy city, New Jerusalem.”—Joh 3:29; Re 21:2, 9; 19:7 and Christ’s glorified congregation is spoken of as his “bride,” compare Eph 5:23-27; Mt 9:15; Mr 2:20; Lu 5:34, 35.

In heaven there is no sexual designations, male and females were part of God's creation on earth for procreation. Heaven is a spiritual state. Therefore the bride of Christ is figurative of those anointed ones who will serve with Christ in his heavenly Kingdom. This is the Kingdom we pray for in the lords prayer (Mt 6:10; Dan 2:44). Jesus again spoke about those who went to heaven and what they would be doing there. Rev 5:10 states: "and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”

Notice that they will be ruling over the earth? interestingly, a kingdom (or government as we call them today) must have subjects or of what benefit would they be. Interestingly, it also says they are ruling OVER the earth. That is why we pray for God's will to be done on earth in the lords prayer. So what else does the bible say about those who live on the earth under this kingdom? Jesus again said: Matthew 5:5 "the meek shall inherit the earth"

What else does the bible say about the earth?

“There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to God’s promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.” (2 Peter 3:13; Isaiah 65:17)

Wickedness, warfare, crime, and violence will be gone. “The wicked one will be no more…But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth.” (Psalm 37:10, 11) Peace will exist because ‘God will make wars cease to the ends of the earth.’ (Psalm 46:9; Isaiah 2:4) Then “the righteous one will sprout, and the abundance of peace until the moon is no more”—and that means forever!—Psalm 72:7.

(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

“The eyes of the blind ones will be opened.”—Isaiah 35:5

Sickness will vanish. As Ruler of God’s heavenly Kingdom, Jesus will do healing on a far grander scale than when he was on earth. (Matthew 9:35; Mark 1:40-42; John 5:5-9) Then “no resident will say: ‘I am sick.’”—Isaiah 33:24; 35:5, 6. (or in our case, tired)

“There will come to be plenty of grain on the earth.”—Psalm 72:16. God will bless his righteous ones, and “the earth itself will certainly give its produce.”—Psalm 67:6.

There will be peace between humans and animals. Wild and domestic animals will feed together. Even a little child will have nothing to fear from animals that are now dangerous.—Isaiah 11:6-9; 65:25.

The whole earth will become a paradise. Lovely new homes and gardens will occupy land that had once been ruined by sinful humans. (Isaiah 65:21-24; Revelation 11:18)

Dead loved ones will be restored to life with the prospect of never dying. All those sleeping in death who are in God’s memory will be brought back to life. In fact, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”—Acts 24:15; John 5:28, 29.

This is just a small sample of what is to occur.

    The bride is the church.

It's not just Revelation that talks about Jesus as a bridegroom. He gives himself that title in Mark 2:19, and describes his second coming as like the arrival of a bridegroom in Matthew 25:1-13.

It's figurative. It's not about a real marriage to one woman. The church is the bride, figuratively married to Christ.

His church is His Bride. All people who are saved belong to the Lamb. Where He is, we will also be.
