2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoI do not understand. Do people go to hell until revelations?
Well in revelations it seems to me people die and their soul gets sent to hades/sheol or death not hell. Then people are judged and thrown into the lake of fire which is hell. So right now when people die they do not go to hell in christian theology?

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow can one reconcile evolution and fall of man? Christians, muslims, jews, deists, atheists?
If one accepts evolution then there would be no original sin as well as adam and eve. So how do christians especially reconcile the concept of original sin and the fall of man if they accept evolution as a means of explaining human biological evolution. Theists besides christians how do you reconcile the belief of your creationism if you accept evolution as i believe jew and muslims have similar version of creationism but still accept evolution. Also, hindus arewelcome to answer how do you reconcile your version of creationism with evolution as i believe hinds accept it as well.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDo buddhist believe in higher beings/entities?
I know some sects have gods but how buddhism originally started, it did not have gods. I am asking for the ones that do not have gods, do they believe in higher beings. Is an enlightened person considered a higher being? and what would qualify as a higher being in buddhism.
Also if you can answer is buddha considered a higher being and do offerings and prayers to buddha count as worshiping a higher being.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDo buddhist believe in a higher power?

13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDoes anyone here believe in curses?
I do not know if i believe in magic. When I was younger my mom got sick and she started getting these marks on her skin by her feet. They were live mosquito bites except after a while they turned black and started peeling. Some of her skin fell off and she was getting holes(not actual holes that went thru her body but more like deep dents in her skin where the skin had fallen off so some of her flesh was visible). The doctors and skin specialists were unable to fix it and it got worse. They gave her herbal remedies and drugs yet it would not work for the pain or to take it off. She eventually went to her home country (country in Latin america) with my dad and she visited a man supposedly he could help her. She said the man told her they had placed a curse on her because they were envious of her. They went to the cemetery in another city and the man stopped near a tomb. He started digging and at first found nothing, but then found a little bag. The bag had nails a writing that said they did not want her with feet. During this time a previous friend with my mom got into an argument and the people said her aunt who lived in the same country as my mom before she came to the US was a witch. She did not say what he did but after that she got better. The marks started disappearing and her skin healed up. she still has the scars for it but just wanted to say does anyone believe in curses that can be placed on people and witches.
Btw I do not want any bible quotes. My mom is a christian and neither praying nor medicine helped her. I just want to know if anyone believes in curses and witches and if they have had similar experiences.
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs Jesus going to be married in Christian theology?
Revelation 19:7
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
Does anyone know what this prophecy says she is going to be called, her age or anything?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAtheists that have been on this foum for years: How was your experience when you first made an account to?

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAccording to the bible there is only one unforgivable sin which is blasphemy of the holy spirit if someone?
becomes an atheist is that considered blasphemy of the holy spirit?
Also if that is correct then when someone becomes an atheist, they cannot become christians if they were ever christians because even if they become christians in your religion they are still going to hell right for denying the holy spirit?
So it is like this believed christian->lost faith became an atheist-/> cannot became christian again because they would have been denying the holy spirit which is unforgivable. The only way they can become a christian is if they were never christian right because they could not have denied something they never believed in right?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoJW how do you know that there are still seats left in heaven so that you may enter?

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhat did jesus die for?
I want to know what was the point of his death. Christianity still beleives in original sin and that people sin so what was the purpose of jesus's death. He did not die for the sins of people if the sins still exist in christian beleifs. I have also heard it was to protect people from god's wrath but really? You want to pray to something that wanted to kill you and all yor ancestors unless he begot a being out of his essence and made it a man so that the man would be crucified to appease him?
