Are you ok with alienating Democrat gun owners with your unjust calls for infringing our rights?

I am a Democrat and I own many guns. Some of them are semi-automatic and one of them is an AR-15; like the rifle used by the now infamous deranged school shooter Adam Lanza. This is my choice weapon for home defense. I am comfortable with it and have the most training with it.

Why should anyone have the legal right to infringe upon my peaceful possession of something that is intended to protect my natural human right to self-defense-- a right explicitly and unambiguously afforded to me by the Constitution of these United States? I am not a criminal, nor a loon. I pay taxes, I go to work, I try to help my neighbors and community as much as I can. Most people don't even know I own guns because I don't go around talking about it much. It's just something I do on my own time.

I can't possibly be expected to agree with a Republican on economic issues, but if I'm forced to choose between my rights and my party, I'll be casting votes for the opposite party for the first time ever. I've never felt my gun rights at risk until now. Please don't make me vote Republican. There should be a voice for gun owners in the Democratic party as well. Republicans do not have the monopoly on gun owners.

    My ar15 is for my protection. I wanna be able to defend myself from the government from taking even more of our rights away. Sorry for wanting a fighting chance. I don't think we would if we all had bolt action rifles while they have actual assault rifles

    In all honesty I think we should be focusing more on the mental health of people on anti-depressants. The blame may be focused on guns due to the fact of how much money pharmaceutical companies make.

    With the last 4 mass murderers , Jared Loughner , James Holmes , Jacob Roberts and now Adam Lanza being Liberals ,,,, it sure reflects badly on the Democrat gun owners .

    I don't think it will come about that the current regime will try to seizes weapons away from the American People, but should they try that exactly what will happen, they will try.

    Source(s): I see the word"Assault"used quite offten but I always wonder, isn't an "Assualt" weapon any weapon that used during a military or police assult on a target?

    Oh please, this is a drama llama question. Nobody is going to ban guns. That's almost impossible. You're still going to have your guns years and years from now
