Wow! So nice to see almost everyone giving an older vehicle. Nice answer Danny. I had a 57 Plymouth in high school that I bought for $15. Spent $30 for a set of used tires and $350 for insurance. My first car. My favorite was my 56 Buick Special. Big enough to almost stand up in the back seat. 323 V8, one gear automatic, smooth as silk driving. Unfortunately, it was the days before anti sway bars and fast turns were not her forte.
Unfortunately, I let my younger brother drive it when I went into the Air Force. The brakes went out on it and instead of getting them fixed, he would throw it in reverse to stop it. Eventually, he busted the transmission and it leaked all over the garage floor. It got towed away while I was in Texas in basic. I never knew she died until I came home on leave.
