Will an iPhone pick up wireless internet and be able to browse wifi without a data plan?
If I canceled my phone contract with AT&T and my data plan goes down the drain, would I still be able to pick up wireless internet on my phone from a mobile wireless hotspot?

That shouldn't be a problem. The phone's wifi capability has nothing to do with the plan it is on.

yea in truth what ethan stated.. all phones that are wifi in a position are smartphones, and also you won't be able to use a cellphone without procuring a knowledge plan, they're required. I easily have a droid brilliant and an ipod contact-ipod touches artwork loose on wifi
