    A mystery, a real mystery ...... unless you study fractions.

  • Get a common denominator: 19 * 4 * 7 => 19 * 28 => 19 * (30 - 2) = 570 - 38 => 532

    Convert the fractions:

    -1/19 => -1 * 4 * 7 / (19 * 4 * 7) = -28 / 532

    7/4 => 7 * 7 * 19 / (19 * 4 * 7) = 931 / 532

    -4/7 = -4 * 4 * 19 / (19 * 4 * 7) = -304 / 532

    Arrange from least to greatest (just look at the numerators and order them)

    -304 / 532 , -28 / 532 , 931 / 532

    -4/7 , -1/19 , 7/4

    You could convert these to decimals and order them.

    A quick way is to pick an almost Lowest Common Denominator like 20

    So you end up with -1/20, 35/20 and -12/20

    Looks like -4/7, -1/19 and 7/4

    Works as long as the numbers aren't too close

    -4/7 then -1/19 then 7/4

    -4/7, -1/19, 7/4

    Remember this:

    x and y axis

    -2 -1 0 1 2

    The higher the negative number the smallest its value for example -29 is smaller compared to -2.

    - 1/19 (least)

    - 4/7,

    7/4 (greatest).

    Given that the common denominator is so large, I would just convert all the fractions to decimal numbers.
