Is there a need for armor piercing bullets, high-capacity magazines and assault weapons?
Does Americans want people walking around our society with concealed guns with a capability of using armor piercing bullets, high-capacity magazines, and assault weapons?
Our military and police should be the ones with these capabilities. Is this were the American people are or has the NRA bought off Republicans to make this stuff available to everybody in our society?

Listen very closely to what I am about to tell you.
The 2nd amendment to the constitution of the United States was written for more than self defense.
The reason it was written is so that the US government WOULD NOT have a larger standing Military than the armed populace of its Citizens. The 2nd amendment was written to protect its citizens from an oppressive Government and as a means to remove said government should it BECOME oppressive and or unsustainable.
So, when you ask the question " Is there a need for armor piercing bullets, high-capacity magazines and assault weapons? " the simple answer is YES. You can not defend yourself against a standing force of superior armament with rocks and sticks. People need to study history and remember WHY America become a nation. It was to get out from under the yoke of oppression we were under with the British Empire. and the Constitution was written so we never again would be under an oppressive government. Don't you get it? Gun control is NOT just gun control. It is population control.

Is there a need for Gas Guzzling SUVs, hipsters, or Kim Kardashian? No, but the nice thing about a free country is "need" is not a requirement. Some things you need to know:
1. Armor piecing bullets are not typically available for civilians, nor have they been used in any recent mass murder.
2. "Assault weapons" is a political term used to mean whatever they tell you it means. No guns available to civlians are marketed as assault weapons and if anyone walked into to a gun store asking for one they would get laughed or shouted out. No sportsman or recreational shooter buys a gun to assault anything.
Our military and police have access to fully automatic assault rifles, sniper rifles, submachine guns, etc. They are generally much more well equipped than the average citizen.
What is available to society has been so for many years. The NRA just fights to keep it so.

There is no need. If it is readily available to the public, then it is even easier for criminals to get.
