    Most certainly not the politicians.

    That leaves the people.

    And that my friend is why the 2nd Amendment exists.

    The Supreme Court subverts the Constitution on a yearly basis.

    and they are proud of it. Not long ago a poll of SC approval was done. They didn't get much. Do you know what their response was?

    "well? it's not like the american people can do anything about it. It's a lifetime appointment so they can pound sand". << not their exact words but that's what I gleaned from it.

    its the Executive body who will protect it, not the legislative part.
