Should I exercise with bad period cramps?

I have really bad cramps, which feels like a sharp pain throughout my abdomen (more painful on the right side). If I press down on my abdomen I feel a very sharp pain shoot through both my abdomen and my stomach. I can't stand properly, and when I went to the doctors they said I may possible have endometriosis. Should I go for a run?

I would not recommend running if you cannot stand properly. Exercise is a great way to ease the pain of cramps, so try a fast paced walk and see if you can move up to a run if you are not feeling to uncomfortable from the pain.

Don't run but definitely walk. I've had endometriosis for years and walking really has helped ease the pain of my cramps every month and I get bad cramps like you describe.

exercise can help with the severity of the cramps.
