Should I pay the rent if the world is about to end?
Rent is due on the 20th, tomorrow, should I wait and see if the world is going to end on the (22nd ?) rumored date or go ahead and pay up. I hate to think I paid my rent and did not get but two days use of the property. I would rather use the money on liquor and women.

Don't pay. In all likelihood, the world will be gone after Friday. In fact, you should go out and spend your life savings tonight and tomorrow so you can enjoy your life to the fullest in these last precious hours. Don't go in to work either. OH, and have unprotected sex with as many women as you can- no STD will kill you before the world ends, so there's really nothing to worry about there.

How do you pay it, by mail or by hand. If by hand pay it very late in the day so they deposit the check until the following day. Then the check goes through the Federal Reserve system and back to your bank. That takes a couple days. By then you will either be dead or homeless but you might be able to use the ATM and buy booze.

Try paying rent enough for you not to be evicted, then wait and see if you need to pay the rest on the 22nd.
