Hebrew speakers - what is the difference between "ahuva" and "ha'ahoova"?
I'm writing "my beloved friend" in Hebrew and was given the translation "chavera ha'ahoova", but I see spellings using a "u" instead of "oo", so "ahuva". Which is correct? She is female as am I.
Also, is it אהובה חברה?

/oo/ and /u/ are different ways to signify the same vowel when transcribing Hebrew, so pick whichever you like.
The translation you got is not quite correct. It should be /chaverti ha'ahoova/ (חברתי האהובה).
(If the friend was a male you'd say /chaveri ha'ahoov/ instead; חברי האהוב).
Explanation:
/chavera/ is "friend". /chaverti/ is "my friend".
/ahoova/ is "beloved". The /ha/ prefix you see in /ha'ahoova/ means "the". So altogether it means: "the beloved". We add this "the" because we're taking about a specific friend (mine).
