microsoft cancelled sp2 for windows 7 ( because of the introduction of win 8 OS )

Update:

yes will will get security updates but not sp2 or sp3 like XP , sounds like they will shove win 8 down our throats . i hate smartphone apps on computers

    just got my maximumpc read the same thing --- loooking around for more info ---thanks p for the update -- i guess win 7 is going to treated like vista --should be the other way around ( win 8 )

    Don't go to Windows 8. It is unstable.

    Yeah, but they probably will need to come out with something with all the update.
