What kind of paint to use for a shower wall?
I am trying to paint a shower wall in a mobile home. The bathtub and shower isn't one piece like a whole kit that slides in. The tub is just installed and the shower head comes out from the wall. The paint on the wall of the shower is chipping and I'd like to repaint it. Is there a special sealant or paint I need to use so that the water from the shower won't ruin the wall? Is it possible to use regular paint and only finish it with a special sealant second coat?

first off you'll have to scrape off all the paint possible. Then sand everything really well to rough up the surface. THEN you can paint. Oil based primer and paint would probably be OK or there are specialty paints. I've heard that Epoxy paints will last longer but the fumes are terrible.

There is an epoxy paint made for storage flooring that works very good. It's generally darkish and you can also need to paint one more colour over it. The epoxy paints have some detrimental fumes and need to be utilized in a good ventilated subject. After I put it in a toilet I used two fans-one pushing air in and one pulling it out, and a used a mask that would not let me breath the fumes.

Why not put a tub surround in instead of painting? Cost isn't that much. you can DIY. And it's water proof.
Check at any big box store.
